Dr. Housecat

MG McReynolds, DVM

As a little girl, Dr. McReynolds grew up in a farm environment around animals. Her love for pets began at an early age, so it seems only natural that she would grow up to become a veterinarian.

Caring for pets in Atlanta has been Dr. McReynolds’ passion for more than 20 years. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a DVM in 1986. She moved to Georgia and practiced canine and feline medicine and surgery for 4 years, went on to do emergency medicine for 2 years, then devoted her work exclusively to feline medicine. In 1994, she launched Dr. Housecat to provide mobile full veterinary services and well-care visits for cats. As she worked with more and more families struggling with end-of-life services for their pets, Dr. McReynolds started Transitions Home Euthanasia in 2006 to address this special need. She continues to provide at-home euthanasia services for both dogs and cats through this branch of her practice.

Dr. McReynolds is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA). She also has served on the Board of Directors for PAWS Atlanta, a no-kill animal shelter where she has also volunteered her time to vaccinate dogs and cats.
